14 Lessons I Learned Shadowing Gary Vaynerchuk For Two Years

I go to sleep early on Sundays because I am so eager to start working Monday morning. I talked about it in an answer on my YouTube show The gist of it is this: If you give me a piece of paper to read from, or any kind of notes, I freeze up. I can't do it. It becomes impossible for me to perform. For example, Gary is motivated to build business to provide for his family and eventually buy the New York Jets.

As a small business owner, I have had my low moments and I've got to tell you watching one of Gary V's video always gets the job done of putting me in a better mindset. Filmed in his New York City VaynerMedia office and reaching a weekly audience of more than 100,000 people, the show is a place for Gary to answer viewers' questions and share his tried-and-true methods for success.

It's precisely the knowledge that life if short that makes him so productive, because it makes him value his own remaining time. This book presents a bunch of interesting ideas and provides motivation to get to work on your dreams right now. Gary Vaynerchuk has been one of my favorite influencers / motivational speaker of all times.

Vaynerchuk launched Wine Library TV, a bare-bones web video series in which Vaynerchuk tasted and discussed wines, spitting into a New York Jets bucket. What Gary is suggesting is that too often we sit back and consume content like his because we are afraid to "make the jump." Steve Harvey (The Ms. Universe guy and Family Feud Host) illustrates this point success well in the following clip.

We've put together what we believe to be his top four mantras for marketing success. He is a New York Times Best-Selling author who has published two books - CRUSH IT! #askgaryvee is a compilation of his thoughts on how to win at business while living a good life (my definition).
